- Create a developmentally appropriate curriculum
to meet the needs of each individual child.
- Share information, resources and practical advice.
- Formulate and encourage equal opportunities for
both children and adults.

to develop skills and confidence through sharing full responsibility
for their group.

both you and your child and staff have many years of experience
in catering for individual children's specific needs.
When a child starts Rhymes
Nursery they will receive some settling in visits
to attend for a few hours with you leaving for short periods and
then returning. These sessions are designed to minimise any upset
for you and your child, helping your child settle into the nursery
routine and get to know our staff.
We maintain development records
on all our children and these are available upon request.
Rhymes
Nursery provides trips and visitors to the nursery as often
as possible.
To keep you up to date with nursery news you
will receive a seasonal newsletter. Additional
information is displayed within the nursery.
Rhymes
Nursery will provide:
- Children who are attending 8.00am - 6.00pm with
breakfast and tea.
- Children who attend 9.00am - 5.00pm will receive
lunch.
- Children who attend 8.00am - 1.00pm will receive
breakfast and lunch.
- Children who attend 1.00am - 6.00pm will receive
tea.
Menus will be changed weekly and displayed on the
notice board. Any special dietary requirements should be discussed
with the nursery manager. We endeavour to work with parents to provide
a nutritionally balanced diet.
We order our food from a local caterer who has a
four week rolling menu - displayed on our notice board.
All children will be provided with drinks (milk,
squash, water) and light refreshments during their day at nursery.
For children under one year old at nursery, we ask parents to provide
their own food and formula milk until they are ready to take nursery
meals and parents/carers have become aware of all allergies.
If you would prefer your child to bring a packed
lunch and tea instead of eating nursery meals then please
discuss this with the nursery manager. We
regret that we cannot reheat food.
Staff will always be available to
discuss any concerns you may have and we welcome parents
visiting the nursery at any time during the day.
