About Us

Although there are significant differences that are dictated by each settings location, the ethos of providing quality care in a home from home environment that meets the individual needs of all our families remains prevalent and the number one priority across all three settings.

Owner Judith Partridge, a childcare practitioner with 32 years’ experience oversees highly capable and experienced management and childcare teams that take immense pride not only in the quality of care provided but also their compliancy with OFSTED, government legislation, safeguarding (children and staff) and providing a comprehensive curriculum that ensures all children learn and develop consistently, ready for a smooth transition in to school.

Safeguarding Statement

Safeguarding and Child Protection are paramount within Rhymes Nursery. The most important responsibility we have as an early years setting, and as individual practitioners, is to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child within our care.
At Rhymes Nursery we maintain a safe environment in which children feel safe and secure. Children are confident to express their emotions and ask for help / support. We undertake to safeguard the children and staff from harm and abuse at all times.

Please see our Safeguarding Policy. Safeguarding information is displayed within each room in order to explain the procedure followed if ever a concern or issue is raised.

We build strong safeguarding foundations within each child through learning about and being aware of their own safety and personal wellbeing.

We adhere to the ‘Safer Recruitment’ guidelines and we have a robust vetting and recruitment procedure. All staff and students are vetted which includes full reference and identification checks. All staff, volunteers and students hold enhanced DBS Disclosures. We have a robust induction process for all staff and students which includes a probationary period. All staff are subject to regular supervisions and appraisals.

What parents are Saying

My son has been at Rhymes Nursery for nearly 4 years and they have helped him to flourish and have prepared him well for school. The staff are caring and gentle and always willing to talk generally and about our children. My son will miss them.

Lovely nursery! The staff are welcoming and my daughter loves going in the afternoons. She has gained so much more confidence since being there, her little brother also joined at the beginning of the year and loves going! Highly recommend this nursery!

Both of my children have attended Rhymes over many years and have thoroughly loved going. The staff have become like second family and are so caring and lovely. Cannot recommend it enough. My son is going to be so sad to leave in August, as I know he will miss everyone dearly.
